The key to my interpretation of the Voynich manuscript is the natural phenomenon known as the "alpenglow". It is especially the key to the correct understanding of the Voynich map (Rosette folio). It introduces the central symbolism of the work, without which it cannot be understood. It is the main conceptual problem that has prevented modern readers, scholars and laymen, from entering into the world of the manuscript. If you don't appreciate the importance of the alpenglow to the symbolism of the Voynich ms. then you will not understand a core feature of the work.
It is basic, simple, Christian religious symbolism but to my knowledge no commentators on or students of the Voynich ms. have grasped it and understood its importance.
