Now I am in a position to further refine my account of the system of paradigms – verbum potentiae – that I propose underpins the Voynich text.
There have been some mistakes that I can now correct, and I can expose a more coherent underlying system in which Voynichese is the year made text. There is much more work to do. In essence it is simple, but the YEAR is the most multivalent of symbols. The key is to understand that the gallows glyphs represent the solstices and equinoxes.
It is also important to understand that our “words” are in fact cycles: a mistake I have made frequently, in retrospect.
The first cycle is: OTOPO
QOKEEDY and CHOLDAIIN are unfolded from that primitive paradigm.
The difference between them is that QOKEEDY is triune, while CHOL-DAIIN is bifurcated.
QOKEEDY is QO KEE DY
But CHOLDAIIN is CHOL DAIIN.
In QOKEEDY there is a division by three.
In CHOLDAIIN there is simple bifurcation.
I have noted this contrast between the two paradignms many times in the course of these studies: triunity and duality.
QOKEEDY then represents the three zodiacal signs between the solstice and the equinox. (And this must be what the triangle of glyph [q] represents.)
CHOLDAIIN represents the cross of the four elemental, or fixed, signs, or the kerubic signs as they are called. This division is elemental, not zodiacal.
